SD24 features boar hair bristles: bristles that have a thick, coarse root but taper thinly to a finer, soft tip. Boar hair contains the body and structure to move the weight of snow, but not go down to the paint—where dirt can be pushed around, scratching the paint and detailing of vehicles. Dirt, grit and particles on the surface of vehicles pushed around by tough material and bristles are the reason for scratching and swirling, not the bristles themselves causing damage. The softness of boar hair is careful not to push dirt around, being protective and gentle on surfaces.
Bristle tufts are hand set with epoxy into tuft holes, sealing off any moisture and securing the bristles finely into place.
This brush came to fruition because there simply were no snow brushes that were up to par on the market. And because we feel the same care and attention to detailing of your vehicle should remain even when the weather isn’t quite California sunshine outside.
This brush is best suited for light and first snow. For care and maintenance, ideally, the brush should be hung up—to dry, and to protect the bristles from bending or crushing. If soiled, wash the brush with mild soap and warm water.
22.5" overall length, 2.25" trim. Black boar bristle (Chungking) epoxy-set into black polypropylene block (New York), textured handle for grip, and hanging hole.
